Tour Plan
- Our tour starts at Knossos, one of the oldest and most important places in Crete. The Minoans lived here more than 4,000 years ago. They were great builders, artists, and traders. Your guide will show you around the ruins and explain how the Minoans lived and why Knossos was so important. You will see the throne room, the queen’s room with its beautiful wall paintings, the royal tombs, and the grand palace. The palace is like a maze, and many believe it is the place where the legend of the Minotaur and the Labyrinth was born. The design, the colors, and even the ancient drainage system will surprise you. The Minoans were truly ahead of their time.
- After visiting Knossos, we stop at a village called Patsides. Here, you can walk through a farm with olive trees and Cretan herbs. You will taste local food like extra virgin olive oil, honey, and other homemade treats. You will also learn how Cretans still grow food and keep bees the same way their ancestors did.
- We finish the Knossos Palace Tour with a walk in Heraklion, the capital of Crete. Your guide will take you through the old city center. You will see famous places like Lions Square and the Morosini Fountain. After that, you will have free time to enjoy a coffee, try local food, do some shopping, or visit the Heraklion Archaeological Museum.
